Sebahire shifts focus to All Africa Games

Long distance runner Eric Sebahire is stepping up preparations ahead of the 2015 All Africa Games scheduled for September 4-19 in Congo Brazzaville.

Sebahire, who runs 3000m, 5000m, 10,000m and the half marathon, told Times Sports recently, that he will be looking for medals at the competition.

Sebahire has been training for the marathon since January and will be joined by Felicien Muhitira, Clementine Mukandanga and Claudette Mukasakindi who have also qualified, to intensify preparations.

"The next mission now is to gear up for the next All Africa Games championship. I started preparations early so that I can give my best during the tournament. I know it will be difficult because I we will face other big names,” he noted.

He further said, "I am eager to get to the podium and this is why I am embarking on intensive and early preparations so that I can be in good form ready to take on elite athletes.”
