Crystal Telecom rakes in Rwf9.3m

Newly Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) listed firm, Crystal Telecom, raked in Rwf9.3 million total turnover on its second day of trading at the bourse.

Newly Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) listed firm, Crystal Telecom, raked in Rwf9.3 million total turnover on its second day of trading at the bourse. 

The firm traded 68,600 shares in four deals at Rwf136 each, yesterday’s market report indicates. The counter however shed Rwf8, down from Rwf144 on Thursday.

The company was listed on the secondary market last Thursday. The RSE was closed on Friday since it was a public holiday to mark the end of holy month of Ramadhan.

Meanwhile, other counters were quiet yesterday.

Bank of Kigali and Bralirwa last traded on Thursday last week. The Bank of Kigali counter closed at Rwf290 on Thursday, unchanged from last Monday, while Bralirwa was at Rwf337, down by Rwf2 compared to Rwf339 each on Monday last week.

The drop in Crystal Telecom and Bralirwa share prices affected the RSE Share Index, which declined to 215.31 points yesterday down from 216.25 points on Monday last week.
