Police FC have confirmed the signing of striker Muganza from Rayon.

Peace Cup winners Police FC have announced the signing of striker Issac Muganza from rivals Rayon Sports on a two-year contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

The signing of Muganza, who scored six league goals last season, follows the capture of Rwanda international midfielder Hegman Ngomirakiza from APR last week. Ngomirakiza was also a target for both Rayon Sports and SC Kiyovu.

"I can confirm that Rwanda National Police has agreed terms with Ngomirakiza and Muganza and they are now Police FC players,” Police FC spokesperson, Chief Inspector of Police Jean de Dieu Mayira, confirmed on Saturday.

He added, "The club had a void in the midfield and upfront. With the coming of these two good players, we feel the club is now complete. The Police head coach has a big say in vetting players, and unless he finds other areas that needs to be filled, we won’t sign other players.”

Meanwhile, Mayira disclosed that the club have also renewed contracts of four key players including; team captain Jacques Tuyisenge, defender Fabrice ‘Ndikukazi’ Twagizimana, Gabriel Mugabo and goalkeeper Marcel Nzarora.

Police FC finished third in the 14-team National Football League last season and also won the Peace Cup for the first time in their history after edging Rayon Sport 1-0 in the final earlier this month.
