SULFO LEAGUE FINAL
Challengers’ v Young Tigers-(50 overs)

Young Tigers are set to play the biggest game in their history today when they clash with Challengers in the 2007 Sulfo league final at Kicukiro oval.

The game is very important for both sides as none of the sides has lifted the league trophy since its induction in 2003. Today’s clash is expected to be a thriller as young tigers’ lethal bowlers take on Challengers’ experienced batsmen.

The youngsters’ studded club will greatly rely on the bowling trio of Eric Dusabemungu, skipper Andre Kayitera and Evode Mutuyimana.

On the other hand, Challengers will look to their skipper Srinath Vardhineni and Gopi Krishnan in the bowling and batting department.

Ahead of today’s tie, both captains were pumped up.

Kayitera who is one of the league’s top batsmen said that last Sunday’s victory over Challengers would certainly be a major boast ahead of the final.

"We outplayed them last Sunday and we believe we can do it again,” Kayitera said.
On the other hand, Vardhineni says that they lost last Sunday’s game because they had rested their key players for the final.

"Young Tigers should not be so carried away by last Sunday’s win because they are facing a full strength Challengers’ side this Sunday,” Vardhineni warned.
