Peter Greenberg, the travel editor for Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) News, a division of the American television and radio service CBS, is currently in Rwanda attending the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Summit, taking place from Wednesday, November 1 to Friday, November 3.

Greenberg, a renowned travel journalist, shared his excitement about being in Rwanda in a recent social media post. He expressed his delight at reuniting with his gorilla tracking and ranger team, particularly highlighting tour guide Francois, who previously guided him and President Kagame during the filming of ‘The Royal Tour’.

During this trip, Greenberg embarked on a gorilla tracking adventure, capturing moments from the expedition, including a silverback gorilla sighting at an altitude of 7,000 feet.

He is set to bring live Global Travel Updates from Kigali on Thursday at 12 pm ET, streamed on his various social media platforms.

Peter Greenberg is not only attending the WTTC Summit as a travel enthusiast but also as a moderator for several sessions.

Greenberg is widely recognised for his work in television, including the television series ‘The Royal Tour’, which airs on PBS. In this show, he provides viewers with a unique opportunity to witness various Heads of State giving him and the audience a personal tour of their respective countries.

Some of the world leaders featured in this series include Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame, New Zealand’s Helen Clark, Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, Abdullah II of Jordan, Peru’s Alejandro Toledo, Mexico’s Felipe Calderón, Poland’s Mateusz Morawiecki, and Tanzania’s Samia Suluhu Hassan.

Moreover, Greenberg is known for producing and hosting ‘The Travel Detective’, which airs on public television stations.
