EASTERN PROVINCE:
RWAMAGANA - Theoneste Mutsindashyaka, the Provincial chairman of the ruling Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) has urged party members to work hard to consolidate the party gains.

He also appealed to the party members, especially those in charge of economic development to come up with strategies of triggering economic development and boosting RPF members’ incomes. 

"Our party has always been credited for hard work; we stopped the Genocide. We have now embarked on development. The party must remain with such credibility,” Mustindashaka said.

He however warned: "Whoever feels cannot work for the maintenance of the party’s credibility should quit.”

This was during a one day meeting for the newly elected party representatives in Eastern Province. The first of its kind since the recent RPF concluded party elections in the province.

Party members were asked to deliver, lest they are expelled.

Youth representatives were asked to start RPF clubs in secondary schools and villages to popularise party activities countrywide.

"The young people should know something about the party that stopped Genocide and now bringing development,” Mutsindashyaka.

He wondered why the young can memorise a whole catechism but fail to know good things about the ruling party.

He also asked teachers to enlighten pupils about what RPF achievements.
Party members pledged to be exemplary and to focus on enlightening Rwandans on development in line with RPF’s vision. 

Mayor of Rwamagana, Valens Ntezirembo who is also Chairman of RPF at district level advised party members to target associations and cooperatives. The Mayor Bugesera Gaspard Musonera appealed for strengthening of RPF committees at each administrative level.

The meeting agreed to start party cultural troupe groups at every district and a committee of the aged.
