After a meal at La Palisse Restaurant, it will make you forget the steep slope of Nyandungu that leads you to the bistro. The restaurant is located along Lusumu-Kigali Road only 2-3 kilometres from Kigali International Airport.

Besides new decor and styling, La Palisse Restaurant has nice looking features, upgraded ever-green gardens, big screen TV sets and all the 60s rock ‘n roll icon memorabilia the restaurant is known for.

"We basically pulled it apart and put it back together again, only better!” is their motto. Those who choose to sit outside on a wrap-around balcony enjoy the scenery of the patio or pool which is high up and borders the Table Mountain.

The Menu

Cold starters include vegetables with salads; avocado salad, tomato salads and cold starters like spinach soup, chicken soup, and mushroom on toast and cheese croquet are also available.

Fish dishes of tilapia filet with vegetables, filet de tilapia menniera, filet de capitaine au poivre vert (capitaine filet with green paper) are surved.

Meat dishes include escalope cordon blec, tournedos king georges/ beef filet with K.G source and grilled steak. Poultry includes chicken leg carry, bond chicken with green paper and chicken pieces with mushrooms.

Posta/nos pates include spaghetti bolognaise and spaghetti au beurre. The nos grillades has grilled fish, beef kebab, zingalo garnie, ¼ de poulet ¼ chicken grilled and brochette de poisson garnie/fish kebab.

Most desserts are mainly fruits, but there are some more western style puddings and they include pan cake, fruit salads, and pineapple soat and assiette de fruit de saison.

The bar

Those of you who love wines, this is a must visit. From white, red, to rose wine are available. White wines include Chadonnay-Domaine bergon vin de, Sauvignon-domaine bergon vin de pays doc France. Red wines are Merlot-Domaine bergon vin de pays doc France, carbernet sauvignon-dom bergon vin de pays doc.

Rose wine is mateus-portugal. Open wines are pichetcarafe-25cl and pichet carafe-50cl. Fruit juices and syrups include citron presse, annanas, presse, nectar de maracuja, sirop de grenadine, menthe maracuja orange. Gentile (jus d’dorange, sirop de menthey and grenadine), smile juice (jus d’dorage, maracuja, ananas sirop-de grenadine).

All the local beer brands are available plus some imported ones like Bell Lager from Uganda. Ask for any soft drink like sodas, and the polite waiters/waitresses will be at your service. Freshly made juices like apple, carrots, pineapple and many more are also served.
