Tanzanian Premier League champions Yanga have opened talks with sign Police FC left back Mwemere Ngirinshuti, Times Sport can reveal.

Ngirinshuti said, "We are in talks with them but nothing has been agreed yet, if everything goes well I will join them but first they have to negotiate with my team (Police) with whom I still have a year left on my current contract.”

The former APR, SC Kiyovu and AS Kigali player noted that, "We would have to look into the conditions and, in sporting terms, what they propose before making a decision, but one thing for certain is that I won’t go just anywhere for the sake of leaving.”

However, when contacted, Police FC Sportsperson, Jean De Dieu Mayira said that no one has contacted them about their players, including Ngirinshuti.

Rwanda international, Ngirinshuti, 26, has one year left on his contract and Tanzanian newspaper Citizen has reported that he could soon leave to join his former teammate in APR Haruna Niyonzima.
