Rwanda U-23 right back Michel Rusheshangoga has expressed optimism the youngsters will beat their Ugandan counterparts in the first leg of the CAF U-23 Championship qualifier on Saturday at the Amahoro stadium.

He said, "It will be a very tough challenge for us because it is a derby but we are ready for the game, we want to win at home, we want our fans to come and support us.”

"They (fans) will go home happy; we want to beat our former coach (Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic), we want to win this first game and see what will happen in the second leg, we are confident we can win this game,” noted the in-form APR player.

Rwanda will face their archrivals on this Saturday in the first leg before the second leg in two weeks’ time in Kampala.

The winner between Rwanda and Uganda will meet Egypt in the last round of qualification for the continental showpiece set for November 28-December 12 in Dakar, Senegal. The top three sides will qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
