Okoko took over from Jean Baptist Kayiranga in a six-month contract last year.

Kayiranga failed to impress in the Black and Yellow side with two points after six games at the beginning of the season but Okoko turned things around and helped the club to finish in tenth position with 29 points.

"We want him to stay as he has done a good job so far and we are thinking of how we can renew his contract. It’s not only the coach, but also our best players before making any further additions for next season,” Niziyimana said.

On his side, Okoko said that he is willing to stay at Mukura if the management wants him to stay, "it is easy because we have been working together for six months now and if they want me, I will stay but on condition they give me what I want.”
