Esperance recovered from a 4-0 drubbing to Bugesera on Saturday to beat Intare 2-0 yesterday.

The Kimisagara-based side are in 5th position with 25 points from 17 matches in Pool B, having won 7, drawn 4 and lost 6 games respectively.

Elsewhere in pool B, it was a disappointing mid-week for the top four as none managed a win with Bugesera being held to 0-0 draw by Sorwathe.

Rwamagana and Unity FC played a goalless draw while Muhanga picked just one point against Golden Generation.

In pool A, joint table leaders La Jeunesse and Nyagatare were held to a 1-1 draw by ASPOR and Vision Jeunesse respectively while Pépinière lost 1-0 to Heroes FC.

As it stands, Bugesera lead pool B with 41 points, two ahead of second-placed Sorwathe, Rwamagana come third with 32, one ahead of Muhanga.

In pool A, La Jeunesse and Nyagatare with 32 points apiece lead the log, two points ahead of United Stars who have a game in hand while ASPOR are fourth with 29 points respectively.
