Police Handball Club are keen on retaining the Labour Day trophy during this year’s edition on Saturday. 

The law enforcers who lead the league log, face stiff challenge from rivals APR, ES Kigoma and Gicumbi but coach Antoine Ntabanganya believes his men can defeat all their competitors.

"We want to repeat the success we registered last season. We won everything and that’s what we want to do again,” Ntabanganya said.

He also noted that Police will also take part in the Zone five Handball club championships later this year and the major target for him and his players is extending their local dominance to the regional scene.

By press time, Police, UR- CASS, UR-CoE, E.S Kigoma and Gicumbi had already confirmed their participation in the Labour day tournament while APR, Nyakabanda and Saint Aloys Rwamagana were yet to confirm, according to the National Handball Federation officials.
