So many little girls all over the world dream of being Cinderella, the classic heroine in one of life’s most precious fairytales. But real life Cinderella’s live in a world that is not even remotely close to the heart wrenching, romantic storyline that the tale is so famous for.

Chilling stories have been reported of stepmothers who have set children on fire, severed their genitals, or beaten them to pulp, for no apparent reason. And to be honest, what possible reason can one have for doing something so hideous? This week, Maria Mukamwezi shares her harrowing experience with her stepmother at a very young age and counselors give insights to such behaviour.

With this, are more stories that are sure to entertain and educate . Enjoy the read.
