Editor,

This letter is with reference to your article, "YouthConnekt Month kicks off today” (The New Times, May 2).Kudos to the Ministry of Youth and ICT, which has for the third time, initiated a most interesting programme to involve as many as four million Rwandan youth.

This year, MYICT has selected the theme, "We Choose to Be the Foundation of the Country's Development”.

Please allow me to share with all concerned that AIESEC is a vibrant, international youth organisation present in as many as 127 countries worldwide. There is a proactive Rwanda Chapter of AIESEC, which is always ready to support and encourage the youth of this great nation by providing international internships both social and commercial.

Many Rwandan youth have in the past come and trained with leading Indian companies like Tata Consultancy Services and have then returned back home securing good positions.

Thus, AIESEC Rwanda could well add much flavour to YouthConnekt and give this initiative an international touch, thereby consolidating the foundation of the country's development.
