Kamonyi 0-0 AS Kigali Freedom 0-1 BugeseraNyagatare 0-1 Les Lionnes Kamonyi Football Club held AS Kigali to a goalless draw to become the first team to pick a point against the reigning champions since 2013 in the national women’s football championship.

Kamonyi coach Emmanuel Habiyambere said stopping the winning run of giants AS Kigali shows that his side is improving and disclosed that his team will challenge for the league title next season.

Elsewhere, struggling Bugesera won 1-0 against Gakenke-based Freedom while Nyagatare lost 1-0 to Les Lionnes.

As it stands, AS Kigali with 40 points lead the table, Les Lionnes trail them by 8 points in the second place, Kamonyi have 29 points in the third position, one point ahead of fourth-placed Inyemera.
