Most mothers usually struggle to juggle between work and parenthood. When women get pregnant, they carry on with employment for most of the nine months with some carrying on until the very last moments of labour pangs.

A few lucky ones will only take a break after confirming that their hard work is enough to earn them a full pay check to cater for their needs.

This kind of practice has been condemned by health professionals and highly associated with child mortality, maternal deaths, malnutrition in addition to poor child care and development.
