Champions APR will miss four key players when they host Rubavu based Marines this afternoon at Kicukiro stadium in the national football league.

The army side, who are in second place and three points adrift of league leaders AS Kigali, are without skipper Ismail Nshutinamagara, who is suspended, defender Emery Bayisenge (knee injury), midfielder Yannick Mukunzi (ankle) and striker Patrick Sibomana (groin).

APR is also likely to be without right back Albert Ngabo, who is struggling to shake off a thigh injury that he sustained in the Orange Champions League tie against Egypt’s Al Ahly.

A win against Marines will see APR level on points with AS Kigali but the former will return to the league summit thanks to their superior goal advantage. APR was held to a 2-2 draw by Marines in the first leg tie.

"We are taking every game like a final, it will not be an easy game because we are missing key players but there will not be any excuses if we fail to take all points,” APR assistant captain Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza told Times Sport.

Meanwhile, Rayon Sports will host Sunrise at Muhanga Stadium as they bid to climb up the league table. The blues have had a season to forget after drawing nine games and losing four so far. The Nyanza based side currently lie in 8th place on the league table.
