Members of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) have been urged to act as engines of soci0-economic transformation in their respective communities.

Protais Musoni, the head of cadership development at RPF Secretariat, made the appeal during a village meeting in Gacuriro Vision 2020 estate in Kinyinya Sector, Kigali.

"As members of the ruling party, we have to lead the way in bringing socio-economic development,” Musoni said.

He told the members that to act as the engine of socio-economic development, there was need to observe the party’s core values.

Jacqueline Musemayire Muganga, the deputy party chairperson in the village, said they had formed an association to act as a vehicle of development in the area.

"To pave way for socio-economic transformation, as women in the village, we have formed an association which has collected over Rwf10 million from which members can easily borrow,” she said.

Corneil Nshimiyimana, the chairperson of RPF in Kinyinya Sector, urged members in the village to organise monthly meetings aimed at sharing developmental ideas.
