Skol and Cogebank will sponsor a one-day cycling competition on Saturday aimed at boosting the competitiveness of young riders.

45 riders are expected to race in a 135km race from Muhanga to Rubavu, according to Aimable Bayingana, the Cycling Federation Chairman who also said that the event will cost Rwf5 million.

"We are organising many competitions as a way of helping our riders, we need to raise their level of competitiveness and each month we will have a race,” Bayingana said and thanked Skol and Cogebank for partnering with the Cycling Federation.

The race will attract riders from six clubs which are: Benediction Club (Rubavu), Cycling Club for All (Huye), Cine El-may (Nyamirambo), Les Amis Sportifs (Rwamagana), Kiramuruzi Cycling Team (Kiramuruzi), Fly Cycling Team (Gasabo).
