Reigning champions, Police will be looking to make it two wins out of two when they take on Groupe Scolaire Rambura on match-day 2 in the national handball league today in Nyabihu District.

The league kicked-off last weekend and The law enforcers’ side kicked-off their title defence with 37-24 win over Rwamagana-based Saint Aloys Secondary School.

"We are ready for the new campaign, we had enough training and preparations that I believe to be enough to enable us retain the league title as well as other competitions that we won last season,” said Police head ball coach Antoine Ntabanganyimana.

Elsewhere, former champions APR will be up against Rubavu-based GS Inyemeramihigo in Gisenyi while league new entrants of ES Urumuri of Karongi District, host University of Rwanda’s College of Education (UR- CoE). Last weekend, APR beat ES Urumuri 29-17; UR- CoE lost 21-23 to their counterparts UR- College of Arts and Social Sciences (UR- CASS).
