Women national football league leaders AS Kigali take on fifth-player Atletico this afternoon at Ferwafa turf seeking to stretch their unbeaten run going into the second half of the season.

Grace Nyinawumuntu’s side, who are unbeaten since 2013 in the local league, top the table standing with a maximum 30 points from ten matches.

"We want to win the match on Sunday; we want to stretch our winning streak for as long as possible. Atletico are a strong team, but we are focused and determined as ever to achieve our goals,” Nyinawumuntu said on Friday.

Elsewhere, struggling Bugesera host second-placed Les Lionnes, Gakenke-based Freedom FC are up against Rambura, Inyemera face Academic Girls, Nyagatare host third-placed Kamonyi while Golden generation square-off against Youvia.

AS Kigali lead the table with 30 points, seven ahead of Les Lionnes, Kamonyi are third, nine points off the pace while Inyemera of Gicumbi district completes top four with 19 points.
