Sexy or elegant, what would you prefer?

Liane Muhoza Mutaganzwa

I definitely prefer elegance, I don’t like being sexy. If you see some of my photos then you will notice what I mean. One’s physical appearance speaks volumes, so it’s better to dress decently.

How often do you shop for clothes?

I never plan for shopping. Every time I see something I like, I go for it. And every time I have an occasion I go shopping. I may even do shopping like ten times a month or even go a whole month without shopping. But as long as I see something I really like, I buy it. When I travel, I try to come back with something.

What is your favourite shopping item?

I don’t have a specific item because I wear almost everything, but I love shopping for skirts mostly because with them, I get to be elegant. I also love jeans and dresses but like I said, I never plan for shopping so I buy them randomly depending on what I need and the occasion.

Describe the most expensive item that you own

It’s hard to trace but the most expensive items that I own are mostly dresses, shoes and perfumes. Some of these I buy from Europe, USA or Dubai.

What colours look best on you?

It’s black mostly. I wear black whether I’m going to work, parties or weddings. I’m light skinned but I don’t think it’s the reason I like black clothes, most girls with a light complexion prefer red or pink but I think I like the colour because it just looks great on me. When you like something you definitely feel good when wearing it.

What fabrics do you think are beautiful?

I like cotton, silk and velvet; I think their qualities are very good. I also like the denim.

What would you wear on a date?

I love tight pants and blazers. I also like well fitted maxi skirts or simple dresses which aren’t skimpy. I simply top that up with a purse.

What’s your scent?

Yves Saint Laurent Cinema; it’s a nice fragrant.

Any style tips?

A well fitted skirt and a decent top with high heels is an outfit every trendy woman should try. It is important to know what looks good on you; don’t wear a skirt if you’re not comfortable in it. Know yourself; you may like something but you should know what looks good on you and work around that.
