Diamond Platnumz to perform with The Ben at Trace Awards

Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz, who landed in Kigali last night, will perform with The Ben at the Trace Awards taking place tonight at BK Arena, The New Times has learnt.

Videos of the two artistes doing sound check at BK Arena have been circulating on social media.

A reliable source told The New Times that ‘why’, The Ben’s hit that features Diamond Platnmuz, is among the songs that the Tanzanian star will perform tonight, which is the main reason why the two artistes will share the stage at the event.

‘Why’ was produced in January 2022, by producer Madebeats, and is so far The Ben’s biggest hit song since he ventured in the business of making music.

Diamond Platnmuz is in Kigali together with his mother popularly known as ‘Mama Dangote’ and three of his kids, all who are expected to attend Trace Awards tonight.

It will be Diamond Platnumz’s first time sharing a stage with The Ben since ‘Why’ was produced in 2022.

The event takes place in a few hours to come and will be headlined by some of the best African musicians such as Davido, Rema, The Compozers Band and many others.
