Hadi is second at stage 4 of d'Annaba Tour

Team Rwanda Captain Janvier Hadi continued to deliver top class performances at the ongoing Tour International d’Annaba in Algeria after he finished second at stage 4 from Annaba to Seraidi, a total distance of 117km.

The 24 year old persisted at the front coming second to eventual race winner Hichem Chaabane of Algeria to claim his third podium finish since the start of the Grand Tour d’Algerie which commenced on March 6. Hadi won the Grand Prix de Ville d’Oran a fortnight ago.

Hadi finished second in the mountain classification behind Chaabane and is 15th on the general classification while teammate Bonaventure Uwizeyimana is the highest ranked Rwandan rider in seventh position. Uwizeyimana was also second in the U-23 category after amassing 12:03:25 from the four stages, 3:07 behind winner Abderrahmane Bechlagheme of Algeria.

Joseph Biziyaremye finished in 22nd position in the general classification while teammates Valens Ndayisenga and Jeremie Karegeya continue to heal from infections suffered from last week.

The duo is expected to be fit for the upcoming Tour International de Constantine that starts today within the city of Constantine, a total distance of 115km for stage one.
