Nsengimana, Hadi shine in Setif Tour

Team Rwanda rider Jean Bosco Nsengimana earned a podium place when he finished third after clocking 2:37:39 at stage 2 of the ongoing Tour International de Setif in Algeria.

Teammates Janvier Hadi and Joseph Biziyaremye were separated by microseconds finishing fourth and sixth respectively. Bonaventure Uwizeyimana, Valens Ndayisenga and Jeremie Karegeya were 19th, 23rd and 27th respectively.

Joseph Biziyaremye is the highest placed Rwandan rider on the general classification in fifth position after two stages with 6:09:16, a second ahead of the 2014 African cyclist of the year Mekseb Debesay of Eritrea ahead of today’s race in Setif.

Meanwhile, Emile Bintunimana continued to display a fine combination of determination and hard work finishing fifth in stage 4 from Bafang to Mbanga at the ongoing Tour du Cameroon having posted 2:47:49.

Bintunimana is third on the general classification 13:05:32, 1:06 behind leader Clovis Kamzong of Cameroon. Teammate Abraham Ruhumuriza is fifth with 13:05:53.

Hakuzimana maintains his third position in the U-23 category with 13:18:04, 3:42 minutes behind leader Sandro Trevisani of Switzerland.

Team Rwanda will be hoping to put up yet another brilliant performance in today’s stage 5 from Bonaberie to Limbé, a total distance of 94km.
