Esperance keen on redemption in Div.2 league

After suffering a poor start in the second tier league, Esperance FC have pledged to turn tables starting today when they face on-form Rwamagana this afternoon in a pool B league encounter at Kimisagara playground.

In their first nine league matches, Esperance have only won two, drawn two and lost five respectively including Sunday’s 2-3 defeat to Muhanga.

Elsewhere in pool B, Sorwathe play away to struggling Akagera, Intare face giants Muhanga, Golden Generation will be up against Bugesera, Miroplast take on Unity FC while Interforce who were routed 5-0 by Bugesera on Sunday host Kirehe at Ferwafa.

In Pool A, league table leaders La Jeunesse play United Stars at Mumena stadium, Gasabo host Pepiniere at Ferwafa artificial turf, Hope FC face SEC Academy at Mukebera stadium (Gatsibo, ASPOR and Vision Jeunesse square-off at Kicukiro stadium while Etoile de l’Est entertain Vision FC in Ngoma district.

As it stands, La Jeunesse, Nyagatare and Heroes FC are 1,2,3 respectively in pool A while Rwamagana, Sorwathe and Bugesera line-up first, second and third-placed in pool B with 23, 22 and 20 points respectively.
