Change from traditional to hybrid varieties should be critically analysed. In fact, once you plant hybrid seeds on your farm, they completely change the soil nutrients, therefore traditional varieties can never grow there anymore.

We should also remember that those hybrid seeds are susceptible to some agricultural threats like pests, viruses, weeds…and they can develop resistance to pesticides. Therefore, we will completely lose the traditional variety and the hybrid. Not even mentioning agro-ecological change.
