Pool A leaders La Jeunesse FC host Etoile de l’Est on match-day 6 in the second division league this afternoon at Mumena Stadium.

Nyamirambo-based La Jeunesse suffered their first defeat of the season on Wednesday, losing 1-0 to Kicukiro-based ASPOR but still lead the Pool A table standing with 12 points, one ahead of second-placed Pépinière.

"Losing and winning is part of football, after ASPOR’s defeat we immediately shifted focus to Saturday’s match against Etoile de l’Est. All players are fit and hopefully we’ll bounce back with a win,” la Jeunesse head coach Yves Namahoro said on Friday.

He also noted that his team’s top target is to return to the topflight division.

Elsewhere in Pool A, SEC Academy play Gasabo, Vision FC take on Heroes, Hope FC host Vision Jeunesse while Gitikinyoni will be up against Nyagatare at Ruyenzi ground.

In Pool B, Bugesera host Huye-based Intare, Interfoce will be up against Espérance FC, Muhanga square-off with Miroplast, Rwamagana play newcomers Golden Generation while Sorwathe face Unity FC at Kinihira playground.

Cox Muleyi’s Pépinière FC who were held on a 1-all draw by Heroes FC on Wednesday have a weekend off and will be in action on Wednesday against ASPOR at Kicukiro Stadium.
