What lecturers say but don’t mean

We are all equal One reason lecturers wake up every morning, even with their meager earnings, is that they know they are respected. They are allowed to be dictators and even have followers. When it rains and his student in a car passes by him when he is walking, he will hate on the student and demand respect from that day on.

We are all equal

One reason lecturers wake up every morning, even with their meager earnings, is that they know they are respected. They are allowed to be dictators and even have followers. When it rains and his student in a car passes by him when he is walking, he will hate on the student and demand respect from that day on.

We are a team

Yeah right! We are a team when your friend shouts at the lecturer, copies during an exam and talks bad about the professor or knows which female student the professor is hitting on. But we are no longer a team when you criticise his lecturing techniques or when you had a problem and missed an exam or class. The truth is good, no matter how ugly

That is a trap. Don’t even think about opening your mouth to say anything close to the truth. He will use it against you without fear or favour. Mistakes are okay

‘It’s okay to ask silly questions, make mistakes, it’s part of learning’ is how the first speech goes and it’s only until you are confident enough to actually ask a silly question that you get the real response. "I really don’t know how some of you ended up in university”.

You all have the potential to pass this class

He knows deep down in his heart that just from the look of some people’s face, failure strongly awaits them but he will nod his head and say, "Yes, I believe in you all.” Don’t trust him, read hard my dear and stop wearing that failure look on your face.

I mark fairly in my class

Oh wow, really fair indeed. The light skinned girl that happens to be on the mind of most males in the class managed to pass only his paper and failed the rest? I rest my case.

Lecturing is my passion

He forgot his bag in class and while we hoped to find potential questions for the next exam, we instead found job applications to almost every company that is registered at Rwanda Development Board. Can you get hired already and we change our lecturer?
