Saudi Arabia women football side Al Nors have ended their pursuit of AS Kigali WFC goalkeeper Angeline Ndakimana and declared her deal is off, Times Sport can confirm.

Ndakimana was recommended to AL Nors by their African agent Michael Boateng of MAB Sports Management after the Ghanaian was impressed by her performance while on national team duty against Uganda during the 2024 Olympic games qualifier.

The Saudi Arabian Division 1 Women outfit was keen on the Rwanda international but couldn’t meet AS Kigali’s$30,000 asking price to sign her.

The club rather wanted to take the shot stopper on loan with an option negotiate a permanent deal with AS Kigali for an outright buy at the end of the season.

However, the Rwandan women league champions were reluctant to release the player. The club made it clear that they will not let player go unless the club pays $30,000 USD, a transfer fee which Al Nors were not ready to pay.

"I wanted to send Ndakimana to Al Nors but AS Kigali were quoting unrealistic figures which has made the deal to be called off. The girl is not going to Al Nors," Boateng told Times Sport.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that AS Kigali are now hearing offers of $22,000 USD to let their player go but the deal seems off for Al Nors are already in talks for her replacement.

"I still have her in mind. She is very humble and has a great prospect. I will find an opportunity for her as time goes on and I hope there will be no stumbling block," Boateng said.

With time running, the agent proposed a Kenyan national team goalkeeper to Al Nors and they are bent on signing her and the club she plays is ready to release her.
