APR and Amavubi Stars midfielder Jamal Mwiseneza has been ruled out for two weeks with a knee injury.

The injury means that the former Rayon Sports starlet missed APR’s CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg clash against Mozambique’s Liga Desportivo Muçulmana on Saturday.

The midfielder injured his knee during APR’s national football league encounter with Rayon Sports last Sunday. The match ended 4-0 in in favour of the army side.

"My knee is not feeling good, I feel a lot of pain but the (team) doctor is giving me treatment and I hope to return to training as quickly as possible,” Mwiseneza told this paper.

He noted, "I am being told that I may be out for two weeks or slightly more but I’ll be ok and hope to come back a stronger player.”

APR interim coach Vincent Mashami revealed on Friday that the Rwanda international will miss two to three matches.

Mwiseneza’s injury follows goalkeeper Jean Claude Ndoli (knee) who is out until June and defender Steven Ntalibi who is recovering from shoulder injury.
