Bananas and peanut butter, cheese with cookies – perhaps ice cubes and mustard– while these may not exactly seem like the perfect combo to you, in fact, the mere thought of it makes you want to barf, to some pregnant ladies, the closest description for this would be “heaven on a plate”.

Bananas and peanut butter, cheese with cookies – perhaps ice cubes and mustard– while these may not exactly seem like the perfect combo to you, in fact, the mere thought of it makes you want to barf, to some pregnant ladies, the closest description for this would be "heaven on a plate”.

But what’s behind these mysterious food fantasies, and can they ever be harmful? According to doctors, the answers depend a lot on what a woman is craving. This week, a few women talk about their cravings, the good, the bad, and the downright nauseating. Turn to pages 16 and 17 for more on this story.
