Telecom firms have been challenged to provide innovative products and services to ease business operations and people’s daily activities.

Peter Bagirishya, the Executive Secretary for Musanze District, said it is also important to expand services to the grassroots people and ensure excellent customer service.

Bagirishya was speaking at the launch of Airtel Rwanda service centre in Musanze District last week.

"It’s always delightful to see companies work to improve customer services in our district and the country, generally,” Bagirishya added.

The new service centre will offer a number of services, including mobile banking with Airtel Money, data settings and data plan subscription, as well as other Airtel products and services, according to Airtel Rwanda head of customer service, Alex Mugisha.

Musanze deputy Police commander, Benoit Nsengayiumva, local leaders and Airtel customers attended the function.
