I thinkthat, as parents, we need to discuss what is possible and impossible. I am a father of girls, and, like the article states, I know that it’s rare to have a girl reach the age of 18 without having sex.
Our girls are being driven by the South American popular romantic series, which are full of kissing and intimacy. As parents we should not restrict them so much on relationships when they become assertive, rather we should mitigate the risks like injecting them with drugs that limit early pregnancy, tablets and other contraceptives as it is done in Europe because the shame of early pregnancy is borne by the parent.
Fellow parents, that’s my view but I stand to be corrected and guided. We shouldn’t live in a world of denial.
