Fashion graduates have been advised to use their skills to become successful entrepreneurs. The advice was given by Livingstone Byandaga, the Programme Manager for Skills Development Fund under Workforce Development Authority (WDA), during the first graduation of House Of Shepherd fashion school on Friday evening.

Twenty-two students were awarded certificates from the Kimironko-based fashion school.
Byandaga told graduates that there are many fashion millionaires all over the world because with fashion skills one can become a successful entrepreneur.
"This means that from today, you’ll no longer be dependants on your families because you have skills to kick poverty out of your lives,” he advised.
The ceremony was held at Sports View hotel in Remera and it was attended by representatives from WDA and Women for Women International among others.
The guest of honor, Kigali’s Vice Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, Hope Tumukunde, urged the graduates to work in groups so that they may be easily supported.
Tumukunde added that though the proprietor of the school, Maureen Ainembabazi had a dream to start the fashion school, it would not have been possible without the students.
The school started in December 2012 and its current enrolment is 70 students. The course lasts for four months.
