Ciney quits City Radio

Talented singer Aisha Uwimana, better known by her stage name Ciney, has quit City Radio after two years.

Talented singer Aisha Uwimana, better known by her stage name Ciney, has quit City Radio after two years.

The 22-year-old, who was the voice behind City Train programme on City Radio, has joined Kaymu, an online shopping company, as the head of public relations and social media.

Meanwhile, the Ndabaga singer is also working on several projects, including new singles and her second album.

Recently, Ciney featured Maria Yohana, Tonzi and Aline Gahongayire in a new song called, Nyampinga, which is the theme song of the ongoing Miss Rwanda 2015 beauty pageant.

She is also working with One Shot Photography and Design on a new project, ‘Music meets Fashion’ which aims at uniting musicians and models through photography.

Ciney, who was introduced to fame by her singles Ndabaga, Nkunda, Kure Y’ ibyiza, Dogoni and High School, started her music career in 2009.

She has done collaborations with various local artistes including Paccy, Knowless, D-Pinc, and Jay Polly, among others.
