Rayon Sports first choice goalkeeper Eric ‘Bakame’ Ndayishimiye joined his teammates yesterday evening ahead of the Orange Caf Confederation Cup clash against Cameroonian side Panthère Sportive du Nde today.

The Blues travelled on Wednesday without Ndayishimiye who was stopped by Immigration officials because of a mistake on his service passport that had his name spelt wrongly as ‘Jean Luc Ndayishimiye’ instead of Eric Ndayishimiye.

The Amavubi goalie missed two days training sessions in Douala but has been working with league side Isonga FC. He says that not training with his teammates won’t affect his performance.

"I am ready to help my team and I think not training with the team will not affect me because we have been training and playing together for two seasons,” he said.

Both teams will meet in two weeks in Kigali in the return leg. The winner after both legs will take on Egyptian giants Zamalek in the first round.

Rayon Sport interim head Coach Sosthène Habimana said his team had studied their opponents and know what to expect from the West African team.
