Clarification

In the Saturday Times on February 7, we published a story titled ‘700 vulnerable returnees to acquire business skills’. In the story, we reported that the returnees were mainly from Tanzania, but we have since learnt that majority of them were from DR Congo.

In the Saturday Times on February 7, we published a story titled ‘700 vulnerable returnees to acquire business skills’. In the story, we reported that the returnees were mainly from Tanzania, but we have since learnt that majority of them were from DR Congo. 

We would also like to state that the programme, Sustainable return and Reintegration of Rwandan Returnees is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Refugee Affairs and One UN, while IOM is an agency that only deals with the vocational training component of the programme.
