Amag the Black to launch second album

One of the country’s youngest controversial musicians, Amani Hakizimana aka Amag the Black, will launch his second album, Nyabarongo on February 28, at the University of Rwanda, in Huye District.

One of the country’s youngest controversial musicians, Amani Hakizimana aka Amag the Black, will launch his second album, Nyabarongo on February 28, at the University of Rwanda, in Huye District.

Nyabarongo is composed of ten singles that include Mana yange, Ibyabana, and Nyabarongo, the cover of the album.

Some of the country’s renowned musicians will perform, including Bruce Melodie, King James and Dream Boys. Entrance fee is Rwf1000.

Amag, who was recently sacked by Super Level Label, is mostly known by his Uruhinja and Care tracks. The rapper became famous in 2012 after the release of his controversial single, Uruhinja that almost landed him to jail.

The 24-year-old rapper was voted the "Best Upcoming Artiste” and "Best Hip-hop Artiste” at the Salax Awards 2013. He was also among the top 10 finalists for the fourth edition of the Primus Guma Guma Superstar talent search competition.
