KAYONZA — Gishari Sectors in Rwamagana district has officially unveiled exemplary hills commonly referred to as ‘Agasozi Ndatwa.’

Launching the hills, Emmanuel Havugimana, the Executive Secretary of Gishari told residents to adopt best agricultural practices, cleanliness, and proper hygiene, terracing and rearing cattle in Kraals in line with the government’s programme.

Under the exemplary hills residents are also expected to ensure decent housing, join health insurance and embrace education.

 "I call upon our people right from villages to embrace Agasozi Ndatwa and start implementation of the activities embedded in ti immediately,” Havugimana said.

Valens Uwayezu, the district agricultural officer urged residents to elect committees that will oversee the activities.

He explained that each village is supposed to elect four people to lead them in establishment of the hills and for speeding up the programme.

Meanwhile, during the ceremony seven best farmers from each of the seven cells of Gishari sector were awarded certificates and Frw10,000 as a token of appreciation for their work.
