The Ministry of Trade and Industry (Minicom) has announced a drop in fuel prices that will take effect tomorrow (February 2), slashing the pump price by Rwf50 of petroleum products. The ministry had slashed prices from a high of Rwf1000 early last year to Rwf895 on 26, December. A statement from the ministry said the Kigali pump prices for petrol and diesel will not exceed Rwf845 per litre.

The statement, which was signed by Minister François Kanimba and released this afternoon, states that the reduction in fuel prices is due to reduction in oil prices on the international market during the month of December.
