Our snoops have learnt that La Planet Club and Chicken Tonight, two spots popular with late night revelers for dancing, eating and drinks, will have to relocate sooner rather than later.

The joints that are located at Kigali Business Centre (KBC), a prime location in Kigali, will suffer a setback when the building is demolished to give way for construction of a state of art structure.

This will likely affect "ladies of the night” and their clients around the area. However, our snoops are yet to confirm what type of structure will be built at the site. We’ll keep our eyes open and bring you an update soon.

The Ben finds love

Midi

It’s safe to say that there’s another competition going on between Rwandan musicians other than singing. This year has so far seen some of them become fathers, others are planning weddings, while others are getting into serious relationships. Word coming in from our snoops is that America-based Rwandan musician, The Ben, is a happy man after getting a girlfriend, Midi.

Midi is Rwandan but was raised in The United States of America all her life. Our snoops tell us that The Ben has been friends with Midi for quite some time and they are both serious about their relationship. Our snoops also confirmed that contrary to what people were saying that Midi is carrying a baby and staying with The Ben, they only stay in the same town and the girl is not pregnant. We wish them the best.

Jay Polly leaves Touch Records

In a rare twist of events, rapper Jay Polly left Touch Records Studio, according to our snoops.

Jay Polly joined Touch Records in 2013 on a three-year contract but our snoops tell us that after Jay Polly’s album launch flopped, his relationship with the management of the studio has been anything but rosy. Jay Polly organised another concert in Gisenyi but it also turned out to be a disaster.

Our snoops also found out that the rapper has been attending meetings with the management of CB Records, also based in Nyamirambo. Our snoops say that Jay Polly asked to cancel the contract and look at how they can settle the matter amicably before he leaves.

Charly and Nina will not back up PGGSS contestants

Charly and Nina played a big role during the Primus Guma Guma Super Star season 4 live auditions as backup musicians for contestants.

But our snoops have learnt that they will no longer be backup musicians for the contestants because they are now also eyeing a musical career that could get them into the competition instead. The two girls started as solo artistes before meeting during the PGGSS 4 live auditions and later decided to make their own group.

Our snoops continue to tell us that they are currently in the studio working on several songs that they hope to release very soon. So far, they have more than three songs out.

Lebanese Restaurant closed permanently

Most people know Lebanese Restaurant for allowing teenagers to indulge in alcohol and smoke narcotics. After it was briefly closed last year, it re-opened but luck wasn’t on their side.

According to our snoops, Lebanese Restaurant has now been permanently closed after it was discovered that there were illicit drugs consumed from there. Our snoops tell us that the restaurant was suspected of trading and distributing cocaine, which is an illegal drug in Rwanda.
