Iradukunda believes that fashion is not about what one wears but how one wears it. In an interview with Society Magazine’s Doreen Umutesi, she explained her simple but classic sense of style.

How would you describe your dress sense?

I can describe my dress sense in just two words; simple and classic.

What’s your favourite clothing item?

I love long dresses and most of my friends tell me that I look great in them.

Where do you shop for clothes?

I shop from different places but I have a fondness for Mr Price clothes so I usually go there to buy new items.

What do you consider when shopping clothes?

I always look out for the individuality and quality of an outfit, and then things like colour follow.

What is your favourite fashion accessory?

I love bags and jewelry.

What is your favourite clothing item on a guy?

I just love a guy dressed in black all through.

What’s your favourite scent?

I love OE Purple Dream.

What is the most expensive fashion accessory that you own?

I have a long black and white dress made by my favourite designer Sonia Mugabo. I really feel gorgeous when I’m dressed in it. However, I don’t wish to reveal how much it cost.

Any fashion advice?

All I can say is that fashion is not about beauty like some people mistake it to be. Fashion is about good attitude, good impression, design, and the imagination.
