Designed with next-generation safety technology, you can gain incredible insight into your driver’s on-road behaviour with Tracenode’s informative safety management reports.

Risk and safety scores are assigned to individual drivers and are based on various key indicators such as speeding, harsh braking, sharp corner turns, over acceleration, and after-hours vehicle use. Realise the potential to enhance your driver’s safety with real-time risk and safety reporting.

Bernard Kangave, the head of operations at Tracenode, says the youth-run company was started after many lives were lost in reckless accidents and a lot of property lost through theft and fraud.

"Tracenode is a comprehensive software and hardware solution that has geolocation on vehicles. We also remotely stop an engine as well as set a speed limit on it. We also install a fuel ultrasonic sensor that monitors fuel and stops fuel theft,” he says.

Tracenode also has the option of setting goe-fences around an area to prevent a car from crossing that point.

Instant accident notifications

From immediate notifications to detailed second-by-second reports, Tracenodes’s algorithm helps you take timely action steps in the event of an accident. Through in-depth data reporting, you can immediately see what occurred within the last 30 seconds leading up to the accident.

With Tracenode, you can also compare your driver’s speed with the posted road speed for local city driving, highway driving, or within specific zones – such as school zones.

About Tracenode

The company creates world class systems that revolve around providing high levels of functionality, intelligence, security and user friendly applications with development aimed at providing client-focused solutions.

The systems are backed by young software-developers, engineers and technicians with the ability to customize, expand, maintain and deploy these applications besides offering training to the taste of the clients’ specifications.

The company is also into File tracking, says Kangave.

"Companies normally keep records in files which are stored. Some of these stores are too big and make it hard to find a file. This system uses barcodes and RFID tags on the files to determine the files that have passed through a certain destination,” he notes.

Challenges

Just like most software companies, Tracenode still faces the hardship of ignorant companies. It’s hard to make them believe that they need it until they use it and find that their workload has been reduced greatly and efficiency of their company has become much better.

The company has regional clients in Uganda, Rwanda and is aiming at going to other countries.
