Just last month the Olympic Games concluded in China’s capital Beijing. Children too can go to the Olympics if they develop their sporting skills at a young age. These are some of the different sports or games that children can participate in at school or in sporting clubs.

Children can learn to play basketball. Dribbling the basketball, making hoops and dunking becomes easier the more you practice.

Running is another Olympic sport. You can be a short distance runner making 100 meter races or a long distance runner making laps up to 20 when you are older of course.

Cycling is a fun sport for kids too. It is one of those sports that needs a lot of dedication and determination. Always wear protective gear like helmets, knee and arm caps.

Hockey is yet another good sport though it is not yet common in Rwanda. It is a lot of fun just like the two boys are having. Protective gear should be worn since there is a lot of falling involved.

Kids too can practice Karate. This makes you physically fit while learning self defense skills.

And so when you learn to develop skills in different sports and games, you can also qualify to go and participate in the Olympics. You can win the Gold, Silver or Bronze medals depending on how fast you are.
