Christmas gifts for all

Christmas is approaching and I won’t lie, but this semester has been a good one for me. Not only because I managed to pass my exams but because I have so many ladies that care about me, or at least I thought.

My grandmother always told me to plough different fields since no one ever knew which one would dry up. Yes, I applied what I learned from her.

I can count how many times I actually paid for my dinner. Most of the nights, I was called for dinner by one of my many girlfriends.

To be honest, other than ladies calling to wish me a goodnight and good morning, the only other calls I receive are from people whose money I’ve held onto for quite a while.

Back to the issue, because these ladies bought me dinner, they are now demanding for gifts. I actually regret eating all that delicious food. It wasn’t really for free, as I’ve come to realise.

Now the boys that have some money are making me look bad. They buy their girlfriends glittering necklaces and because that girlfriend can’t keep it to herself, she has to show it to all her friends, setting the bar really high for me.

I almost died when news got to me that a second year student had bought his girlfriend a phone. As if that wasn’t bad enough, that girlfriend is my girlfriend’s room-mate.

I am just trying to read hard for my final paper so that I hand it in and leave the room before everyone.Thereafter, run away and switch simcards. The village awaits me. I think it will be a great hiding place.  I even overheard one of my girlfriends whisper to her friends that I might get her an iPhone 6. The last person I saw with an iPhone 6 had bodyguards. Unless I sell my kidney, this girl is as crazy as the one who hopes that the Pope will one day be Muslim.
