Rwanda bid to host Africa Club V-ball tournament

Rwanda Volleyball Federation has written to the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) requesting to host the 2015 men and women Africa Club Volleyball championships.

Rwanda Volleyball Federation has written to the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) requesting to host the 2015 men and women Africa Club Volleyball championships.

The tourney attracts all club Champions in different African countries and is set to take place in March.

Gustave Nkurunziza, Rwanda Volley Ball Federation President said Rwanda meets the requirements to host such a tournament.

"We have been taking part in CAVB competitions and also have the logistics needed to host a competition of such a calibre,” Nkurunziza said.

Gustave said that they asked for two competitions including the Champions league for both Men and Women as well as the Zone five men’s Volley ball championship that will take place in February next year. CAVB is yet to respond to Rwanda’s request.

APR and Rwanda Revenue Authority will represent the country in the men and women African Volleyball Championship.
