UNDERFIRE coach Andy Mfutila has admitted that he is yet to settle for his best 11 players at Rayon Sports following a four-game winless streak since he took over last month.

The Blues were stunned on Sunday when an injury time header from Mohammed Kabura handed AS Kigali a 2-1 victory at the Kigali regional stadium to send Eric Nshimiyimana’s side into second place with 21 points on the National Football League standings.

The Congolese tactician is yet to taste victory after a 2-2 draw against SC Kiyovu in his opening game where the Blues had to come from down twice, a 1-1 draw against Sunrise FC in Rwamagana which was followed by a 2-1 loss to Police in the semi-final of the Ombudsman Cup.

"I am still trying to understand the team, to know what will work best for us, know our strengths and what we need to work on. For example, against AS Kigali, we were poor when they caught us on the counter attack, so we need to work on dealing with that,” explained Mfutila, a former coach of APR FC.

Rayon Sports are in third place with 18 points from 10 games, five wins, three draws and two losses and are five points behind table leaders APR.

Mfutila revealed that he expects his side to bounce back when the league resumes next week against Marines FC.

He said, "We have 10 days to prepare for our next game and we shall correct our mistakes. We were really unlucky over the weekend.”

Meanwhile, APR defeated Amagaju 2-1on Saturday to hand the latter their first home loss this season. The army side maintained top position on the table standings with 23 points, two ahead of second placed AS Kigali. Mukura under new coach Geoffrey Okoko, registered their second straight victory in a 2-1 triumph of bottom side Isonga FC while Police FC sealed fourth position after a 1-0 win over Musanze.

In the Rubavu derby, Etincelles held Marines in a goalless draw while Gicumbi was held to a goalless draw by SC Kiyovu with the latter failing to win in their last three games.
