KVC last won the national league title eight years ago and have since finished third to UNR and APR but with a slim 15 points adrift of UNR as the campaign draws to a close, KVC know that they can snatch that elusive first runners-up spot.A dominant force throughout the 90s, the Rafiki-based side will be boosted by their stunning show last weekend, which saw them win only their first phase of the campaign.Having finished third in the previous five phases, KVC defied odds by claiming the sixth phase after beating UNR (3-2) in the finals played in Ruhengeri, ironically APR finished third.
