Police Handball Club coach Antoine Ntabanganyimana has asked his team to replicate the performance that saw them win six trophies this season during the East and Central African handball championship slated for December 6-12th at Nyayo stadium in Nairobi.

The team flies out this afternoon for the six-day tournament that has attracted teams from Uganda, DR Congo, Tanzania, South Sudan and hosts Kenya.

"The players have had a wonderful season, winning many trophies but I am impressed by their attitude towards training and I think they have the ability to win such a competition,” he said.

Police won an unprecedented six trophies this season on the local scene including the national league, Liberation Day, Genocide Commemoration, Labour Day, Sulfo Beach and Carre d’AS.

This will be the second time police is participating in this tournament since 2004 when they represented the country in Tanzania.
